Everyday brings new challenges and new adventures.  In the past few years these challenges may seem overwhelming, yet they are given to us by our higher power to learn.  Some may choose to wallow in self pity, others to stand up and keep on moving forward.  As long as we breathe, we have a chance to make a mark in this realm called today.

Financially challenged?  Look at our brothers in Haiti, the homeless on the corner, the disabled, and those with so much less and be grateful for what we have.  We live in America, the dream of so many so far away.  A place where store shelves are full and opportunity is abundant.  We live in a democracy with freedoms unparallelled elsewhere, lets be grateful.  No matter how poor or unemployed there is food on our plates and clothes to be had.  We live, even our poorest better than much of the Nobles of our past.

The kingdom of night, that of the darkness we all have at one time or another.  sometimes it takes hitting the bottom, to start over and redesign ourselves, or to bring out the goodness we all have.    I began to appreciate my family, LIFE, AND OTHERS. HERE ARE SIMPLE CHANGES YOU CAN MAKE FOR YOU.

2.DRINK a lot of water, concentrated on eating more vegetables, less carbohydrates and fats. Eliminate (or drastically reduce) soda and most junk foods.  Walk, walk, and walk.   Along with an Organic Multivitamin, nutritional cleanses, Adrenal support and  life force,  your energy, stamina, and clarity of mind will return and you will want to play again.

3.  I joined some Mens GROUPS and Civic clubs, made new friends while renewing my spirituality.  The power of a group with similar individual issuse is incredible.

4. Yoga,  MEDITATION and prayer is an  instant destressor.  Prayer and belief in one  greater than ourselves, can be stress releasing and fear resolving. Acceptance for who I am and my shortcomings allows me to be happy.

Remember "If it's to be, its up to me." God Bless you.

Jobs for you in Every Market

 Guaranteed Job in all Markets

By Clifford Fruithandler DC

Thomas Edison set out to make an electric light.  He knew he could do it, but how.  His experiments had thousands of 'failures' by many of our standards.  He didn't look at them as failures, but as one more items that didn't do what he intended it to do.  By learning from what didn't work, he found what did, the rest is history.

I have an abundance of patients who are out of work.  Some because they don't want to take work at lower wages, some do not know what they want to do,  others because work isn't available in their field, and most because they aren't willing to do what it takes to get a job.

In 1983 I had a patient who was a roofer.  He injured his back and I treated him with Chiropractic.  I told him he could go back to work in a week but he needed to change his job, and get off the roof.  His back wouldn't take it anymore.  He agreed and confided that he had a hereditary disorder and he was going blind.   He had no idea of what to do.  I suggested the top job of the blind in the past was a massage therapist.  The royalty didn't want anyone seeing their body, and they were the only ones who could afford a massage therapist.  Besides, as his sight dwindled, his other senses would be enhanced, perfect for therapist.  He had the personality, the passion, ability and drive.  All he needed was an education.  He learned Braille, how to walk with a guide dog,  schooled to be a massage therapist.   Instead of wallowing in the self pity of losing sight, he moved forward into an occupation that he would never have conceived for himself.  30 years later, he is married, happy and productive, still working as a LMT.

Another patient was a carpet installer.  He treated for a Disc problem, responded and went back to work.  Each year he seemed to have more reinjures  to the point I told him he needed to change professions.  He said carpets are all he knows to do.  I replied, take the other end, become the estimator or the overseer.  He did.  Four years later he moved a large carpet and reinjured.  His Disc ruptured and he was off for surgery.  During rehab, I told him with no rebuttal, its time to change professions. I asked him what would be his passion, what did he always want to do?  He didn't know. My suggestions were futile.  He had no training, he was 30 years old.  I suggested he go to Broward community college and take an interest test.  See what his likes were.  He did.

A few days later I heard laughing at the front desk.  Hysterical laughing.  I walked up and there was JM with a smile on his face.  He had a printout of his interest fields from the school.  I read it, #1 Mortician, #2 Funeral Director, #4 Retail # 5 Taxidermist.  I laughed, he smiled.  He was OK with all of them, he was a hunter. His preference was funeral director but it would take too long and cost too much.  He chose taxidermy and went to school for it.  He graduated, moved to North Caroline and opened a shop.  Soon after he opened a gun store next door.  For years to come he would stop by on vacation and show me his new trucks.  Each year they became bigger and more expensive.

My favorite occupation change occurred with a early retiree, forced into early retirement by a fractured knee and ankle.  She came in complaining of back pain with Sciatica.  She responded well to care, and as she had a lower extremity gait problem it took a while to resolve.  Every time she came in she was upbeat as she felt better.  She always had a copy of an equestrian (horse) magazine that she was reading.  One day she looked visibly upset.  I asked what was wrong.  She said she had a wonderful life, worked for the post office for 30 years delivering mail and had two wonderful children.  She owned her own trailer and was financially comfortable with her pension and social security.  Her children were having financial problems and asked her for money.  She wanted to help them but didn't really have any extra to give.  She was just getting bye.  My answer was simple, tell them to get a job, or get a job and give them some of the extra.  She said she would love to work again, but who's going to hire 'an old lady with a bad leg'.

I told her this is Florida, anyone with a 30 year at one job history is considered stable and reliable and the first to be hired.  She said all I know how to do is deliver the mail.  I asked her what her passion was, what would she like to do??  She didn't know.  I then said, everyday your reading about horses.  How about a job with horses? She perked up, her eyes lit up, she then said:  I love horses, all I think about and read about  is horses.  Too be honest, I have never even petted a horse, let alone rode one or work with them.  No one would hire me.

I said, Nel, if I told you how to get a job with horses would you do it.  She said absolutely.  I gave her specific directions in how to get the job.

First go down to Atlantic and Power line roads.  You will see two barns that are about a quarter mile long.  Each has many 'barns' of Race Horses.  Start at one end and go to the other.  Ask for a job.

She replied, no one will hire me, I agreed, but it wouldn't hurt to ask.  Go to at least 4 and ask.  If you get hired, your on.  If not, change your approach.   What do you mean?  When you get to a barn and if it feels like home, meaning you sense you like the people and the horses, change your line.  BE 100% honest.  Tell them what you told me.  "I love horses, I dream about them, read about them, and think about them all the time.  I want to be around and work with them but have no training.  I will work for free if you will teach me.

She did that.  She was hired for pay the next week.  Not only did she get a job, she got a new family and new friends.  She traveled the country with them for over 15 years, she lived and breathed horses.  It was her passion and love.  I didn't see her for about 10 years.  She came in for her lower back and told me the storey's of her journeys.  The highlight was when she was at an auction in Pennsylvania.  While there she saw her 'baby'.  A foul that she helped deliver and latter trained.  The barn sold her as she wasn't fast enough in their opinion to race.  She bought the horse and was trained him.  I heard she won some seconds, and that visit was the last I saw her.  She was about 70 years old, still riding the carts, working with the horses and loving her life.

How to get the job of your life.

1. Its easiest to get a job when you have a job.  We all need to pay our way.  Take what's available to pay the bills.

2. Find your passion.  What is it you really want to do?  If you don't know talk with your family first, friends, teachers etc.  Often they will see it before you do.  If not, take an interest test.  They are free at most colleges and high schools.  There is no failing the test.  You fill out a hundred question, it goes into the computer and later it spills out results.  Usually a guidance counselor is there to review it and suggest where you can find training.  Then use your own intuition and go forward till you get it.

3.  You know your passion, and you have the abilities but not the job.  Create it.  Do it yourself or  bring together others  to do it with you.  Create your own business.  Mentors and organizations are available to help, but it up to you to take on the challenge.  Stay focused, be willing to fail, learn from it, and continue on as Thomas Edison did.  Where there is a will, there is a way.

4.  Go to the employer that you want to work for, tell them your passion, your desire to learn, your yeaning to go 100% to be successful with them.  If need be, offer to work for free to get the training.  If you do, be the best employee you can (on time, respectful, honest, energized, multitasked, success oriented, and team player) and your work will become your reality and your dream come true.

5.   Take the risk and go out and meet people.  For business go to the local chamber of commerce meetings.  You will be surprised at how welcomed you will be.  Go to civic clubs, mine is Premier Networking Alliance , or Rotary, JC's, Lions, or Kiwanis.  Find where you are comfortable.  Volunteer to work for a charity or to support a politician you would vote for.  Both are always looking for volunteers. Get the experience of helping run events, and before you know it you are in charge.  Once in charge and successful it becomes that much easier to go out and do whatever you choose on your own.  Networking is socializing, meeting others.  Meet and befriend the people who are what you want to be.  Ask one to mentor you.  What's the worst that would happen, they will say no?  In reality they all will say Yes and openly give advice.

6.       Be thankful for what you have, rather than regretful for what you don't have or lost.

The past is history, learn from it.  The future is mystery create it.  The PRESENT is a gift, enjoy it.  (unkown)

Remember the gift you gave a toddler.  The perfect toy you spent hours looking for.  The baby takes the wrapping off, opens the box, takes out the toy, and plays with the wrapping paper and box, ignoring the toy.  Enjoy that moment and cherish it.  She enjoyed all aspects of the gift, it would take time to learn to play with the toy.  Most of us are still playing with the box and wrapping paper.

Life is a journey, one with ups, downs and in-betweens.  It can be an exhilarating ride, or scary.  Look at the obstacles, like a runner looks at the hurdles.    With practice the runner can go over all the hurdles, but even in the Olympics, they sometimes fall down.  You can choose to be the person in the stands watching the game, or on the field playing it.  There is no right or wrong.  Just make your choice and enjoy it. Get up from the last hurdle, and take on the next with vigor.

Find your passion and do a Nike, just "go for it".

There is no failure, as we learn and grow from each experience

Look for Miracles and Miracles can Happen

When you look for Miracles, Miracles Can Happen

                                                                By Cliff Fruithandler DC

I have always been the optimist.   I grew up with westerns where the good guy always won.  Be a good guy and you couldn't lose was my philosophy.  Looking back, I was always lucky, not that bad things didn't happen, they did, but something better always came out of it.

In middle school the coach told the class to run around the field twice.  The race was on.  After the first lap there were a hundrend kids ahead, and only  few behind.  As we finished, the coach took the last 10, the slowest to the side.  We knew who we were, the fat kids.  He asked us what team we wanted to be on, I said Gymnasitics.  He then told us all we had to do to make the team was to pick up our speed, and the quickest way to do it was to run every day with a wet suit and ankle weights.  I did and within 2 months at age 12, I was faster and almost skinny.

I was put on the gymnastic squad, and with an unfortuanate fall from the rings, without the spotter catching me I fell.  I had severe pain in my back going down my right leg.  My parents took me to the GP then the orthopedist, then the neurologist.  I was drugged, injected and told to rest which I did for 10 days.  My life had ended.  This is the 60's, my father who worked as a mover, had back problems occasionally and went to a chiropractor.  He told my mother he was going to take me.  Of course mom said, over my dead body.  Well  we snuck out the next  evening and I limped into a 2 room office with my father for support.  There was reception room where I watched a lava lamp flow for half an hour while waiting nervously.  A patient walked out and the Chiropractor waived me into his other room.  In one room he had a desk, two odd looking tables and an X-ray.  He did an exam and next thing I know I heard a snap craclkle and pop and my pain was gone.  I walked to my father's office a few doors down feeling on top of the world.  After each of the next three visits, as I left I was energized, feeling better than I had ever felt in my life.  I knew then, that this is what I wanted to do.  I never changed my direction.

As an intern all I wanted to do was create the miracle I had felt.  I had taken every extracurricular class and specialty club I could.  I was armed and ready.   Amazingly all my patients had the most bizarre conditions.  These patients I inherited from the student chiropractors before me.  I would not fail, if there was a solution, I would find it.

Fist was a women who had general back pain, and constantly belched, to the point that the small treatment room smelled like hydrochloric acid.  She had had previous chiropractic care with good results, but the beltching never stopped.  My conclusion was she had a hiatus hernia and I treated her with Applied Kinesiology reflexes and adjustments.  The pain went away and with in a few visits, and the beltching reduced in frequency over the next week, became very strong and then just stopped.  Wow my first miracle.  Applied  Kinesiology and Chiropractic treatment really worked, it cleared 5 years of belching.

My second patient came in with classic herpes zoster, a severe pain in the midback radiatating along the 8th rib to the anterior.  It had been present for five months and was not getting better with traditional treatment or chiropractic.   I adjusted her midback, and after talking with my Chinese Acupuncture instructor, place needles to reduce the pain.  With in the week the pain subsided, and in two weeks was gone. Another miracle, acupuncture and adjustments worked.

My third patient presented with Bells Paulsey, her entire left side of the face had no muscle strength.  She couldn't close her eyes, flare her nostil,  fully close her mouth or smile.  Here was a challenge.  She had been to the neurologist to no avail.  She had some upper neck tenderness and pain prior to the Bells Paulsey.  I treated her neck with chiropractic, cranium with Ostepathic Craniopathy, and performed acupuncture with electrical stimualtion for the bells paulsey.  Her neck felt better immediately.  In the middle of  her 3rd acupuncture treatment she was able to close her eyelid.  By the end of the 30 minute treatment she couild smile and lift her eye brow.  With each treatment the stenghth returned to the face and with in 2 weeks one could only see a slight drop in her eyebrow.  She was normal.

My fourth patient had a primary complaint of chronic recurrent back and knee pain.  He had good results with the student clinic over many years, but the pain would return with in a few months.  I knew I had to do more than adjust the spine.  I tested all of his pelvic muscles and found one sided weaknesses in the psoas, gluteals, and Sartorius muscles.  I ascertained that these imbalances still present after the adjustments were the cause of his flare ups.  I worked him up with Applied Kinesiology, balancing he muscles and utilizeing minimal chiropractic.  After the first treatement his knee pain went away.  After the 3rd treatment the back pain.  He returned once a month while I was there for a tune up, but no pain in the next ^ months.  I looked forward to seeing him as he brought me the best homemade Italian sausage I have ever known.   He visited me in Flordia several times (no sausage) and took me out to lunch.  His back pain didn't return.  Again, look for a miracle, a miracle can happen.  I got the best sausage of my life.

My fith patient who I inherited from another intern was as odd as they come.  She had generalized whole body pain, always tired, exercise increased symptoms, there were days you couldn't touch her.  She had pronounced pain in the neck shoulder and lower back.  All present for many years. She also had extreme digestive difficulties and an entire book could be written here.  This was 1980, in todays world we would call her Chronic Fatigue and Irritable bowel syndrome.  She treated with me for my entire internship.  I spent many days in the library and talking with my mentors.  She responded to most therapies, was grateful for each visit.  I used everything in my power including prayer.  My instructors all gave advice and recommendations.  I tried them all and slowly but surely she improved.  While at a AK seminar with Dr George Goodheart and Wally Schmidt, they each gave me a few 'new' emotional techniques which made the difference.  Utilizing these along with new herbals and nutritionals we made addtional progress.  She was humbling and the first I couldn't resolve.  As angry I was with not coming up with the answer was as happy she was with where she had gone.  As I said goodbye, she thanked me from the heart.  She told me her life is so much better now.  Not to worry, 'Rome wasn't built in a day" it takes time.   She gave me a list of all the 'fun' things she could do.  She was content and we knew she would continue to improve.  She had begun swimming as recommended.  She told me she couldn't do a lap the first time out.  Today she could swim 20 laps.  She had transformed from a cryer to an optimist.  She saw the good in all rather than the bad.  My incomplete treatment was perhaps my best.  Her story inspired me for the beginning of my career.  We can't cure all, but we can always make a positive footprint to the future.

My sixth patient, Sam,  was what I thought to be impossible.  He had phantom leg pain.  His leg was removed from the knee down 10 years prior at the VA, and he had pain in his" foot".  It had been present for 10+ years.  He also had treated with prior interns for many years for recurrent back problems secondary to use of crutches.  He could not use his prosthetic leg due to the pain it caused.  I prayed to god for a solution.  I used acupuncture which helped on an off for the 'foot pain'.  Chiropractic and AK surely helped the neck and back pain but it returned.  His shoulder and arm pains improved with massage, trigger point therapy, myofascial release, and physical therapy modalities, all gave good symptom relief but the" foot" pain always returned.  At around his 15th  visit I decided to try  an experimental cold laser for his acupuncture treatment.  A miracle occurred.  The phantom leg pain melted away.

I continued on the research Laser team which we felt was great for the skin and meridian therapy.  We even did acupuncture facelifts and breast augmentation.  Today they call it a photo facial.

The highlight of my internship was the week before graduation.  As an intern (not paid) we all had side jobs.  I worked as a waiter at Putting on the Ritz.  A week before graduation, in comes Sam.  Walking with his wife and without crutches.  He asked for my table.  I congratulated him on his new leg, it was the first time I saw him without crutches.  He talked to all of my customers about how his pains all went away and he could use his 'wooden' leg and walk again.  I was on a high. .  My other tables  left  and I had the best tips of my 4 year career.  I gave Sam and his wife a big tearful hug good bye.  After he was gone, I picked up the last plate and found an envelope under it with a long thank you note for saving his life.  He confided that he was suicidal when I had met him the first time.  He said I gave him hope, and hope turned into reality and a new life.  He wasn't a wealthy man, but he was happy.  He left me a $250 tip with the thank you note under his plate.   A waiters dream, a 300% tip.  Absolutely a miracle.

I realized my passion come true.  Being fat and slow got me on the Gymnastics team.  A bad fall got me to the Chiropractor.  The innate energy change of the adjustment was so powerful that from that moment on I knew exactly what I wanted to do.  Be a chiropractor and create miracles.  As a physician we do the technical.  Our higher power has put us together with directions on how to fix us. It is our plight to find the directions and use them.  Through ancient wisdom, research, trials errors, intuition and common sense we can find  and use natures energies to heal.  It is our challenge.  If you look for miracles, miracles can happen and do every day.  I am thankful to god for giving me his gift and guidance to help others.

Today's times are stressful if we choose for it to be.  If we choose to be grateful for what we have, rather than angry for what we have lost, our lives will always be fulfilled.  For every problem there are many solutions.  Never give up looking.  I knew chiropractic worked for me, and persevered even when others called us quacks.  I figured that there must be a basis to acupuncture, as it has been around for 5000 years, yet I didn't believe in it until I saw the miracles that occurred.  People laughed at me when I did kinesiology as quackery, until George Goodhart the originator became the first US Olympic team Chiropractic physician.  Today these are mainstream treatment protocols.

My new toy is pure energy medicine, it's called  Asrya.  It's not a cure all, but has the potential to normalize the body using energetic frequencies including homeopathic and acupuncture.  It can work  when all else had failed.  The diagnostics are uncanny.  It truly works with the innate for the body mind and spirit.  I have spent one year trying to disprove the Asyra, but it keeps proving itself worthy.  I never dreamed I would be treating Allergies, Diabetes, hormonal imbalances, hypertension, MS, Scleroderma, Autism and a whole list of autoimmune diseases.  Although Chiropractic and Acupuncture have shown good results with a great variety of issues, I tended to stay in the pain control arena.  Today my dream has come true.  I have a true General Practitioner's practice.  Neck and back pains are still my bread and butter, and are usually very easy to treat.  I enjoy challenges, impossible cases.  I am looking for miracles.  The more I look the more I can find.

I love Bioenergetic medicine.   My favorite saying and motto is this definition "Insanity is doing the same thing over and over, expecting to get a different result".  If you are looking for change, do something different. Miracles do happen when you look for them.  Why be a pessimist, if you can be an optimist?

Acupuncture - Bioenergetic Medicine

Homeopathy with 200 years of clinical experience has taken a quantum shift thanks to computerization and electrodermal screening (EDS). We are able to read symptom and tissue frquencies with the computer, send back healing or balancing frequencies  for normalization. This occurs when resonance of the abnormal frequency is found, this remedy frequency is then held with others, and the process is repeated 20-60 times. By doing hundreds of these rechecks in minutes, we can save you hours of time and recieve what we feel is much better and quicker results in your care. In our office Dr Cliff uses the Asyra or Bax3000 to integrate homeopathy with our energy medicine protocols. With 30 years experience utilizing combined Applied Kinesiology, acupuncture, chiroractic and Homeopathy, we feel we have created the ultimate in Alternative Medicine.

Bio-energetic Theory and the Integration of Asyra with Acupuncture and Homeopathy

Stimulation of points on these channels with needles, heat or pressure forms the basis of many forms of health treatment, ancient and modern. The flow of life energy or 'Chi' in these channels relies on them remaining in balance and free of blockages, and our ability to stay healthy and fight off disease in turn depends on this vital flow.

Bio-energetic or Electro-dermal testing devices allow us to assess using galvanic skin response (changes in the electrical resistance of the skin) the state of the acupuncture meridians and therefore of the energetic health of the body. It also allows us, and this is where the real power of the technology lies, to assess how the body will respond to a huge number of different remedies or other substances.

All substances, whether living or non-living, have a characteristic resonant signature. Every specific tissue and organ in the human body has its own individual resonant frequency. By outputting a software-recorded 'copy' of these resonances we can predict how the energetic system of the body will respond to them. This scientific application of traditional methods removes the guesswork that's involved in many analyses (conventional and complementary). This is the science of bio-energetic, or electro-dermal, screening.

In a bio-energetic health screening, the energetic signatures of a large number of substances are individually introduced into the energetic testing circuit and the patient's response is assessed through skin resistance measurements. Galvanic skin response is a well-established principle that is also used in lie detectors.

The absence of change in the patient's skin resistance indicates that the liver is not stressed. If, on the other hand, a patient with an energetically stressed liver has a healthy liver frequency run through the testing circuit, that frequency will not resonate with that person's electromagnetic field relating to their liver tissue. This non-resonance increases the electrical resistance in the person's body. The increase in skin resistance in this case tells us that there is an energetic stress in the liver. Subsequent tests can then be performed with other organs and toxins in order to obtain more information on the nature of the liver disturbance. By conducting a series of organ and toxin tests, we can construct a picture of the patient's health status. This enables a practitioner to identify health challenges at their root and devise treatment accordingly, rather than merely treating symptoms of an underlying challenge.

For example, hair analysis may identify the presence of Iron. However, the hair is a pathway by which the body excretes iron, so we cannot conclude anything about the level of iron currently in other tissues. In many cases there is NO way of using laboratory testing to determine the levels of a toxic substance across the whole body (without killing the patient first!). This is why energetic testing is in many cases more useful. Energetic changes precede cellular changes – if the illness has not progressed to the point where there are cellular or structural changes, conventional tests will usually reveal nothing.

This is not where the implications of bio-energetic technology end. If every substance, living or non-living, emits electromagnetic frequencies based on the amount and rotational speed of their atoms, and if we can identify these frequencies, then we have an extremely valuable tool for treatment. Remedies can be tested for compatibility with specific conditions for every unique case that a client may present. Usin this approach, the practitioner can map out the most effective course of treatment. Furthermore, now that we have a database of frequencies of substances and conditions, we can imprint remedies, bespoke for the individual client's requirements; a digital form of homeopathy completely customized for each case.

In years to come, as the demand for health assessment continues to rise, we will continue to witness the use of energetic testing as an effective preventative method in order to treat illness at its root and at the earliest possible stage.

Energy medicine is growing in popularity, but it is certainly not new. 'Chi' has been an integral part of Chinese medicine for millennia. The success of these well-honed and time-honoured treatments has been well documented anecdotally: a vast number of people know that energy medicine works because they have seen and experienced the results for themselves. As a complementary medicine, clinical research has historically been poorly funded and thereby very limited. Now, science, driven by the need to find methods more effective than symptom-suppressing drugs, is beginning to catch up with experience.

EDS Technology

The Beginning

A number of scientists (such as Royal Rife) produced studies evaluating the electrical properties of various compounds and concluded that each had its own unique wave pattern or resonant frequency.

When the theories behind acupuncture points first came under scrutiny from western medicine scientists, European researchers validated the existence of such points by way of electrical conductivity readings. The electrical conductivity of these points would become the foundation of Electro-Dermal Screening (EDS).

In 1951, a researcher named Nivoyet established that acupuncture points do in fact have a lower skin resistance than points elsewhere on the body's surface and that by implication, their conductivity is higher.
In 1952, Dr. Walter Schmidt examined patients that had a variety of known disorders. He examined the corresponding acupuncture points using an electrical current and found that resistance at the specific acupuncture points that related to their disorder increased when that organ was malfunctioning. In contrast, this resistance remained constant when the function of a corresponding organ was not impaired.

Cumbersome and complicated though it was, this was the world's first EDS (Electro-Dermal Screening) system.

Because the techniques Dr. Voll developed were so difficult to implement, German physicians went on to work hard on developing EDS practices that would reduce the quantity of acupuncture point measurements needed, as well as reducing the quantity of remedies required in medication testing. As these modified practices developed, they became known as "Bio-electronic Functions Diagnosis & Therapy" (BFD).

Second Generation EDS

To replace this placeholder, please upload the original image (C:\WINDOWS\TEMP\msohtmlclip1\01\clip_image007.jpg) on server and insert it in the document.Dr. Helmut Schimmel, a medical and dental physician and clinical researcher from West Germany, worked with BFD for nearly a decade until, in 1978, he developed a third incarnation of the system. The "VEGATEST-Method" or VRT (Vegetative Reflex Test) was the culmination of some thirty years development and experience of German Electro-Acupuncture. The new technology and practices became hugely popular in Germany and spread overseas to the USA, England and Australia.

Computerised EDS

In 1979, an American named James Hoyt Clarke launched a machine named Dermatron. This was the world's first Computerised Electro Dermal Screening (CEDS) system. Clarke would go on working to perfect a computer system capable of taking electro-dermal measurements quickly, simply and accurately. After 16 years of research and development, he achieved this, introducing the LISTEN (Life Information System Ten) System to the world in 1991. This second-generation computerised system allowed faster and simpler operation with more accurate results. Clarke programmed tests against 18,000 substances.

To replace this placeholder, please upload the original image (C:\WINDOWS\TEMP\msohtmlclip1\01\clip_image008.jpg) on server and insert it in the document. The LISTEN system was the basis for BioMeridian's BEST System, which was released in 1998. Fully Windows compatible, this system would test against 29,000 substances. Because of these radical improvements in accuracy, scope and convenience, EDS and bio-energetic technology gained popularity amongst independent practitioners worldwide. Since then popularity for bio-energetic medicine continued to spread; and science began to catch up. Energy medicine began to gain widespread clinical acceptance, with results now backed by scientifically documented research.

Fourth Generation Computerised EDS

In 2003, the EDS technology evolved from the BEST system to the Asyra. Aside from software developments, by far the most important change was that the Asyra was capable of filtering (through use of specific frequencies) the information it gathered to allow accurate single-point testing. Criticism of EDS until this point had focused on the time and training necessary to take accurate readings. But now, with The Asyra, one site could be screened to obtain all the necessary information, rather than dozens. This represented a major advance in EDS and bio-energetic technology and would make the screening procedure significantly faster and completely non-invasive.

To replace this placeholder, please upload the original image (C:\WINDOWS\TEMP\msohtmlclip1\01\clip_image009.jpg) on server and insert it in the document. The Asyra brought bio-energetic screening to thousands of independent practitioners worldwide, giving them a better chance than ever of high rates of positive treatment results. This widespread application of the technology in busy private clinics highlighted new demands: practitioners needed the screenings to be faster still; and they needed probing that would be completely insusceptible to practitioner bias or error. Maximum accuracy, consistency and ease of use in minimum time would now be the focus for research and development in the EDS and bio-energetic medicine field.

The Future

To replace this placeholder, please upload the original image (C:\WINDOWS\TEMP\msohtmlclip1\01\clip_image010.jpg) on server and insert it in the document. The Asyra Pro introduced in 2009, marked a significant step forward for the technology. It was one of the first truly flexible probeless EDS devices. Not only did it eliminate operator bias, it also enabled many of the ponderous techniques associated with probing to be automated. In a single stroke screening times were reduced dramatically. So much so, that a test of all major organs and body systems was reduced from around an hour to less than a few minutes. The benefits of this are obvious.

As well as being fast, the Asyra Pro is extremely flexible. Treatment protocols can be tuned to meet the varying needs of individual patients, new protocols can be created and preferred remedies, from any supplier, can be quickly and easily added to the system's database. We can also screen your current supplements for efficacy.

I have always looked for Miracles.  Now I am seeing them everyday.  The diagnostics of the Asrya is almost scary at its accuracy and insight.  Yet it is a tool in its infancy.  There is no queston, all  healthcare practitioners will be using this technology in the near future.

Chiropractic Profession Honors Veterans for Their Service

The men and women of our nation’s Armed Forces make huge sacrifices in service to our country, including sacrifices to their health. This Veteran’s Day, the American Chiropractic Association (ACA) would like to thank veterans for their service and remind them that doctors of chiropractic who work with VA medical centers across the country are available to help restore their health and wellness. Members of the military serve in austere conditions and routinely wear gear weighing up to 80 pounds. A February 2010 Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) report cites “diseases of Musculoskeletal System/Connective System” such as back pain as the No. 1 ailment of Iraq and Afghanistan veterans accessing VA treatment. Doctors of chiropractic are experts in the treatment of neuromusculoskeletal problems and their natural approach can eliminate or reduce the need for drugs and surgery in some cases. ACA has worked diligently over the years to ensure that America’s veterans have access to chiropractic services. Today, more than 30 VA treatment facilities in the United States offer chiropractic care. VA health care providers can also refer veterans to doctors of chiropractic in their local communities. “America’s heroes simply do not have to suffer in silence with the common neuromusculoskeletal ailments associated with their service,’” says ACA President Dr. Rick McMichael. “This is one time when they do not have to ‘tough it out.’ It is the chiropractic profession’s honor to be a part of the health care system that treats our veterans. We are here to serve them.”

The American Chiropractic Association (ACA), based in Arlington, Va., is the largest professional association in the United States representing doctors of chiropractic. ACA promotes the highest standards of patient care and ethics, and supports research that contributes to the health and well-being of millions of chiropractic patients. Visit

Chiropractic Care First, Surgery Second for Sciatica

A new study comparing chiropractic spinal manipulation versus microdiskectomy in patients with sciatica (pain running down the leg) as a result of lower back disk herniation was published recently indicating the effectiveness of chiropractic care. Patients included in this study had already failed to respond positively to at least 3 months of non-operative management including treatment with analgesics, lifestyle modification, physiotherapy, massage therapy, and/or acupuncture. Patients were randomly assigned to either the chiropractic spinal manipulation group (the most common specialized procedure used by doctors of chiropractic) or the microdiskectomy group where patients received microdiskectomy surgery. The results indicated that 60 percent of patients with sciatica (NOTE: they had already failed other medical management) benefited from spinal manipulation to the same degree as if they underwent surgical intervention. Thus, it makes sense for those suffering from lower back (lumbar) disk herniation even with sciatica to strongly consider chiropractic care even if other forms of care have been unsuccessful – at least prior to going under the knife, so to speak.

Home for the Holidays – Healing Family Dynamics

Home for the Holidays – Healing Family Dynamics
By Laura Castanza and Julia George
Each year we are alive on planet Earth, “The Holidays” come and go bringing with them the opportunity to observe how far we have actually progressed in our own healing by joining together “The Family” and “The Dynamics” that go along with our human experience.
Anger, judgment, anxiety, joy, and anticipation, are just a few of the many emotions churning within our psyche when we think about the holidays and family.  Often times there are hidden memories concerning our history that haunt us, even when we’ve experienced the joy of reunion.  When all of these emotions are attached to thoughts of the past, they can interrupt our peace of mind, even when we have continuously and consciously worked to resolve our emotional issues.
The best part surrounding these moments, is the opportunity to reach new levels of understanding as we look at the patterns that create family dynamics and work to change our perceptions. It is the ticket to freedom.
Idealism is one of the “mind tricks” that interferes with our healing.  Since many of us grew up in highly dysfunctional families, we may be inclined to create opposite scenarios in our current lives by attracting relationships that countered our upbringing.  If we grew up in a household of substance/work addiction, neglect, and/or disorder, we may now have the illusion of physically living in a pristine white-picket fence house with a sober and affectionate mate.  This image can appear to be a beautiful thing; but unless the core issues from our upbringing have been acknowledged and worked with, the illusion eventually unravels as negative feelings and shadow characters emerge like a tsunami when we come in contact with our family or when our “ideal” mate exhibits any negative familial traits.
From our idealism, we are inclined to play out a variety of roles and titles.  These are the name tags, labels, and the many hats we wear within our social circles, including our family, further taking us away from our true self.
“Mother”, “Sister”, “Husband”, “Peacemaker”, “Jokester”, and “Fixer”, are just a few of the many identities we create.  With that, comes an enormous responsibility as we painstakingly try to maintain our ideal as well as control the perceptions of others.  All the acting and staging, therefore masking our true self, creates a false foundation that will crumble as our unresolved issues are destined to be revealed through our family interactions.
Projection is the final spin of this cycle.  What is born from our idealism [roles and titles], now is projected back onto us.  Through our own creation, we engage in a reactionary process of what others believe us to be, keeping us in a perpetual state of discord.  The “You Should” and the “I am” become verbal volleys that lead to a cycle of disappointment and frustration time and time again.  By this time, we become overtaken by the sea of emotions and flail about like a drowning victim. We cannot possibly live up to the expectations of our self and what others believe us to be because we have yet to stop the madness and look within our self to experience who we really are.
As the Universe is benevolent and graces us with endless opportunities to heal, and our family is foundational in our being, it is important that we reach a loving place within our self in regards to them.  We may not be able to physically reunite with our family, but we can forgive and cultivate healthier relationships with others around us who represent them.
The first step is to take responsibility for our self.  We can acknowledge our family of origin as part of who we are and the story of our life.  With the abominable, there is also the admirable, and we have the ability to live virtuously or wickedly.  It is our choice.  This recognition will unchain and release our soul, giving us our deserved freedom to heal.  Otherwise, we remain stuck in resentments that will keep us chained to a carousel of chaos for longer than necessary.
When we wake up to awareness and take responsibility for our self, we open up to a vast array of choices.  We can now embrace our story and move forward with a broader perspective.  We will intuitively know we are not bound any further by our birth family, and it will take time to feel differently about it.  All the issues we face concerning our families do not disappear, they transform.
Sometimes we must physically remove our self from people and any associated dysfunction to facilitate the change.  Transforming our perspective and feeling differently is a continuous process which requires a solid support system to aid in our healing.  This can be found through one-on-one counseling, support groups, and within healthy relationships.  Recognizing we need help is our soul’s cardinal quest and the correct venues will arise to support our spiritual path.
In pursuing this path, we may choose to include our family through participating in family functions, one-on-one encounters, or graciously bow out in order to take care of our self.  The only obligation we have is to our soul and its healing.  We can be perceived as selfish, but in reality we are practicing self love; the only love that accepts and loves others for who they are.
Creating harmonious familial relationships begin with the delicate and dedicated care of our self.  Our dedication to do so is imperative within every aspect of our life or we will continuously and subconsciously create scenarios for the exact purpose of healing these root issues.
“Healing Family Relations”, is being offered with a complimentary half hour and $40 additional half hour, in a one-on-one, or group setting, from November 15th – December 31st.  Contact Julia George/Aquarian Age @ 561.750.9292 or [email protected]

Omega-3 Fatty Acids for Healthy Gums

Researchers have recently found omega-3 fatty acids may actually lower the risk of gum disease. This finding came after studying data of more than 9,000 participants in the National Health and Nutrition Examination Survey conducted between 1999 and 2004. Omega-3 fatty acids are primarily found in fish oils and have a number of healthy benefits including their ability to significantly reduce harmful inflammation in the body. The data indicated that the top one third of participants in the survey in terms of those who consumed the most omega-3s in their diets had an approximately 22 percent reduction in their likelihood of developing gum disease, as compared with the bottom one third. While more research is needed, this is more positive news for the consumption of higher quantities of omega-3 fatty acids and thus, more reason to eat foods high in omega-3s (primarily fish) as well as consider a quality omega-3 supplement.
